Pema Chodon joined Balmori Associates in 2015. She is responsible for preserving, organizing archival material, accumulating the physical records of historical projects and assisting digital work. 

Pema’s love of design and use environmentally friendly material has been influenced by her upbringing in India.  She is fluent in English, Japanese, Hindi, Urdu, Nepalese, Bhutanese and Tibetan, and she acted as translator for the Tibetan government in exile for visiting dignitaries. 

Her background is in the fashion and home design industry, working in Japan and India prior to moving to the United States.  She was a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship from OISCA, International in Tokyo, Japan where she earned a degree in Industrial and Technical Design. She recently received her B.S. in International Trade and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
